Research in Prof. Chunming Cui’s group focussed on the synthesis, structure and app-lications of novel main group and lanthanide organometalliccompounds. In particula-r, main group compounds with low valencies, multiple bonding, conjugated and aro-matic heterocyclic sytems, and low coordinate lanthanide compounds featuring high  activity and selectivity for catalytic transformations are our targets . Besides the deve-lopment of highly selective approaches by choices of ligand frameworks and syntheti-c strategies to these compounds, their reaction chemistry, optical and magnetic prope-rties are also our concerns.
